How to paint your front door

I write a lot (and I mean A LOT) of posts on front door colors, but I never have provided tips for the actual painting process. Given ALL the beautiful front door colors I’ve featured, I figured it was time to provide the instructions.

Tips for painting your front door can be found here.

Pretty front door colors can be found here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

      Hi Suzy:
I am sorry I don’t know the paint color. I got the picture from Better Homes and Gardens. If you click on the link in my post, it will take you to the post at BHG.com that has the original picture. Once there, click on the picture and it will show you the entire house. I scanned the article and comments to see if they referenced the paint color, but they didn’t. Most times these colors are custom made by the owner. I would print the picture out and take it to your paint store, they will have computers that will color match for you. That will be your best bet without the actual color code. Also, take a look at my post on selecting front door color. That may help you too. You can find it here: http://gemoftheweek.com/?p=3915

      Good luck with your house!

      Susan
