One of my favorite [or shall I admit overused] expressions is everything came to a grinding halt.

And truthfully, that’s what the real estate market in this area has done in the last week. It has come to a grinding halt.

There are no surprises here because it happens every year. But somehow, this year, it seems more palpable. I think it’s because I had a fairly active fall season so the comparison seems more obvious.

From a business perspective, I think I will use this time to prepare for the new year. From a personal perspective, it’s time to focus on family, turkey and holiday shopping.

As the band The Cure says, “no people…stopped…short…grinding halt…”
